A lot of people find it difficult to maintain their floor tiles, in this article I am going to list some few common types of floor tiles and how they can be maintained.

Maintenance is all about keeping things in good shape or preserving. In this case this involves cleaning of floor tiles.

Ceramic tiles, porcelain tiles and mosaic tile are the most common floor tiles. These tiles can be maintained the same way, which means that their cleaning procedures are the same.

All you need to do is to make a cleaning solution with warm water, detergent or soap and then use a rag or cloth mop to clean the floor tiles. You can also use a lemon-water or vinegar-water solution for these tiles.

Tile maintenance is not only about cleaning the tiles but also about how you handle them. You need to be careful with how you place heavy objects on the floor, if not you might crack the tiles.

You also have to avoid placing hot objects too on the floor, this will cause the floor tiles to become loose and can crack them too.

The other thing that will make the floor tile crack is leaving spilled water on the floor to dry on its on without being moped, or when you do your daily moping routine you need to make sure the you leave the floor dry.

When it comes to cost, on average, you can get your floor tiles within the $7 to $15 per square meter for a standard ceramic tile floor. The prices vary depending on your contractor’s labor costs, size and type of space to be tiled.

You can use any ceramic or porcelain floor tiles as wall tiles, but you cannot use the ones labeled as wall tiles on floor and you can also use large format porcelain floor tiles on internal walls to create a feature wall.
